Understand the relationship: Company, Subscription and Workspaces

In Handsal, your setup is built hierarchically to ensure that finance and structure always go hand in hand. Here are the three most important levels:

1. The Company (The Organization)

The company is the overarching "umbrella". This is where all your data, users and settings live. A company in Handsal is one consolidated unit, administered by your Super Admins.

2. The Subscription

Your subscription is directly linked to your Company. This means:

  • One subscription covers everything: However many Workspaces or folders you create under the company, it all runs on the same subscription.
  • Consolidated billing: All features, AI quotas and user licences are managed centrally, so you only receive one invoice for the entire company.

3. Workspaces (The work areas)

All Workspaces are part of your company. You can think of Workspaces as the "rooms" you have in your digital office:

  • You can create as many Workspaces as your subscription allows.
  • Since all Workspaces belong to the same company, your Super Admin always has access to everything, however you divide your folders.

Why is this structure smart?

It means you can have completely separate departments (e.g. "Sales", "HR" and "Logistics") in their own Workspace, while management keeps full overview of both documents and finance under one and the same company account.

Important to remember

If your company subscription expires or is cancelled, it will affect access to all Workspaces under that company, as they are inseparable.
