Quick check before you trust a file

Use these points at the top every time you receive a signed PDF:

• The PDF says it is signed and valid (no integrity errors).
• The signer name and timestamp match what you expected.
• The document title and completion time match the case you are checking.
• The audit trail includes who initiated, who signed, and when.
• If possible, validate the file in the EU validator for independent confirmation.

1. Official EU validation

For the highest level of security we recommend using the EU's official platform for validation of digital signatures. Here you can upload your PDF and get confirmation that the signature meets the requirements of the eIDAS regulation.
